Pixlr.com is an excellent free online graphics tool and a brilliant Phohotshop alternative. In my experience it beats other free alternatives such as GIMP and Paint.net too. It's also really powerful so even you considering purchasing Photoshop I'd highly recommend checking out Pixlr to start with.
