http://www.discoverskills.com - In this video which is part of a DiscoverSkills series called "My Favorite Apps", we take a look at a photo editing app called Aviary app. If you search the App Store for photo editor, you'll see a ton of them out there, from very simple (and almost worthless) to those that offer advanced photo editing.

Aviary falls somewhat in the middle. It has a wide range of features and effects, and yet is fairly simple to use. It's not necessarily the photo editor I would use to do a lot of fix-up or restoration on a photo, but for day-to-day, quick fix before I send it types of things, I think it works well. Which is why I added it to my "Favorite App" list.

How to convert your photos into useful video assets that can be tracked as though they were a true 3D object. Works best with symetrical side detail, but we have used this successfully with market squares, shopping malls and rooms. Try to avoid having people in the shot for obvious reasons!

Please be aware that for good quality results you need a high resolution still - this is because there will be significant distortion applied to the image in terms of stretching, so a low res image will look very bad...
